Website design for artists and illustrators
Your work deserves better than a compressed Instagram grid.
What your site really needs
The work, large and fast
Well-optimised images that load instantly without losing quality. It is what separates a serious portfolio from an amateur one.
Your artist statement
Your own text on what you do and why. It is the first thing a curator reads, and the difference between an artist’s website and a photo album.
Artist CV
Exhibitions, awards, education, residencies, collections. Organised and downloadable: open calls ask for it as a PDF, and having it ready saves you redoing it every time.
Clear contact for commissions and galleries
Separate from general contact: a private commission and an exhibition proposal are not the same thing.
The pages we recommend
-
Home
One piece that represents you and a direct way into the series. Nothing more: here the work leads.
-
Work
By series or by year, each with a short text, medium, dimensions and date.
-
Contact
Form and email, with one line for commissions and another for galleries and press.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sell artwork from the website?
A shop with a basket and payments needs a database: that is a custom quote. Many artists use “ask about availability” on each piece, which also opens a conversation and is included.
How many works fit?
Plenty: the pack limit is 3 pages, not 3 images. The work page holds as many series as you need.
Will images look good on large screens?
Yes. We prepare every image in several sizes so the right one is served for each screen, without sacrificing speed.
Can you design my logo too?
Yes. With the website, the complete Identity Kit (logo, business card and T-shirt design) costs €120; on its own it is €130.
