What a cookie is, and what local storage is
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser and receives back on every visit: it remembers a preference so you are not asked again. Local storage does something similar, but the value stays on your device and is not sent with every request.
Ours are all first-party — set by this domain, not by a third party — and all technical or preference related. There are no advertising, profiling or social network cookies, and none of it is shared with anyone.
When a consent notice appears
Storing information on your device requires consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive — implemented in Spain by Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 and in the United Kingdom by Regulation 6 of PECR — except where it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested. Remembering the language you picked, the country that decides which tax you are shown, or the order you have just submitted falls squarely within that exception.
The one exception is visit measurement with Google Analytics: it does use cookies, which is why we ask you first with a notice. If you decline it — or simply never answer — nothing from Google is loaded and the site works exactly the same. Your decision is stored in your browser so we do not ask again.
Nothing is shared or used for advertising
The technical entries in the table are not shared with third parties and are not used for advertising: they are necessary for the service you requested or remember a preference of yours, so they do not require prior consent under Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and the guidance of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
The Google Analytics cookies are the exception and only exist if you accept them. They provide usage statistics through pseudonymous identifiers; they are not used for advertising or commercial profiling, and advertising signals are disabled in the tool’s settings.
How we measure visits
We use two measurements. The first is the hosting provider’s cookieless analytics: it creates no identifiers, does not follow people across sites and builds no profiles; it always runs and needs no consent.
The second is Google Analytics 4, and it only activates if you accept the notice: it tells us which pages are visited and through which channel, using pseudonymous identifiers. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser: the notice will appear again and you can decline.
How to delete everything
You can delete all of the above from your browser settings at any time, or browse in private mode. Deleting it does not stop you using the site: at most you will have to choose language and country again, and we will ask you about analytics once more.
How to delete or block them in your browser
You can delete and block anything stored on your device from your browser settings: in Chrome, Settings → Privacy and security → Delete browsing data; in Firefox, Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data; in Safari, Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data; in Edge, Settings → Cookies and site permissions. Private browsing also leaves nothing behind once you close the window.
If you block them, the site still works: it will ask you for the language and about analytics again, and the country in the form will not come preselected. The only thing lost is the reference of a request you have just sent on the confirmation page, because we do not keep it on any server.

If we add a cookie or a local storage key, it will appear in the table above before it is used, with its duration and purpose. We review this page every six months. The applicable version is the one published here, with the update date shown at the top.
