Website design for therapists and psychologists
Writing to a therapist for the first time is hard. Your website can make it easier.
What your site really needs
Your approach, without jargon
CBT, systemic, EMDR, person-centred… with one plain sentence on what it means for the person about to sit across from you.
What happens in the first session
How long it lasts, how you work, how often people come. It is what holds back someone who has never been: writing it down lowers the step to the first call.
Fee per session
Showing it avoids the awkward email and filters people who can’t afford it, who are grateful to know first. Those who can arrive at the first session without that worry.
Online therapy, if you offer it
Which platform, where you can see clients from and whether the fee changes. More and more therapy starts online, and people decide on that detail.
The pages we recommend
-
Home
Who you support and with what, with the first session explained and friction-free contact.
-
How I can help
Anxiety, grief, relationships, childhood… The reasons people seek help, in their own words.
-
Contact
A short, discreet form with a note on confidentiality.
Frequently asked questions
Is a contact form safe for mental health enquiries?
The form only asks for name, email and message, and travels encrypted to your inbox; nothing is stored on the website. We also add a note asking people not to include clinical details, which is good practice.
Can clients book and pay for sessions online?
Payments and bookings need a database: that is a custom quote. Linking your current booking tool is included.
Will my website show up when people search in my town?
We get the technical side and structured data as good as they can be. Local ranking also depends on your Google Business Profile and on time: we don’t sell guaranteed top spots.
Can the website be in two languages?
Yes, two languages are included in the price; a third and more are added as extra languages. In private practice, a second language opens the door to expats who want therapy in their own language.
