Website design for lawyers and law firms
People choose a law firm on trust, and trust starts with a website that doesn’t look like 2009.
What your site really needs
Your practice areas, separated
Employment, family, immigration, commercial… Each with its own page or section: it is exactly how people search.
Who you are
Names, bar admission or SRA number, and experience. In this sector anonymity costs clients: nobody trusts a case to a firm without faces.
What the first consultation is like
Whether it is free, how long it lasts and what the client should bring. It removes the doubt that most often stops the call.
Flawless legal pages
A correct privacy policy and the information your regulator requires (in England and Wales, SRA details and, for some services, published prices). For a law firm, getting this wrong is the worst possible business card.
The pages we recommend
-
Home
What you do, who for and how to start. With your main areas visible without scrolling.
-
Practice areas
A section per area, with the typical cases you handle explained in plain language.
-
Fees and first consultation
How you charge (hourly, fixed fee, retainer, contingency), what the first consultation includes and how to book it.
-
Contact
Form, phone, address with map and opening hours.
Frequently asked questions
Do you write the legal pages?
We prepare the privacy policy and site notices adapted to the rules that apply to you, with the details you give us. They are professional templates; being a law firm, you will probably want to review them yourselves, which is the right thing to do.
Can we have a private client area?
An area with accounts and documents needs a database and authentication: that is a custom quote. Tell us in the form and we will look at it.
Can you migrate our current website?
We work with a new domain and a new website because that is what keeps the price low. Migrating an existing site is a custom quote.
How many practice areas fit?
All of them: the limit is 4 pages, not 4 areas. Each area gets its block on the practice areas page; if you want to rank one separately, it is added as an extra page.
